Advanced search syntax
TheBookSearch (aka DieBuchSuche) supports following advanced syntax in the input field for the search to books. The easiest this can be using Advanced search be used.
The functions of the Advanced search can but be used directly in the search box by the described here Advanced search syntax will be used. The Advanced search syntax can be used also when you upload by searching for registered users.
The Advanced search syntax always consists of a so-called Verb", which is prefixed to the search term and of this one"

Examples of special characters:
author:"Dan Brown"Searches according to the author "Dan Brown", i.e. spaces with given name. While this phrase must occur exactly in the author's name, i.e. as author "Brown, Dan" is called, so the question book is not found with this example (here would be
author:"Elisabeth ""Nobelpreisträgerin"" Jellinek"Looking for the author of 'Elisabeth "Nobel Prize winner" Jellinek'. Also here it applies the specified text exactly as must appear in the author's name and I guess not many book search, this example is useful. Demonstrated here is the repetition of the quotation marks in the search term when searching for special characters.
Following Verbs are used in the Advanced search syntax supports:
author: Searches in the author's name, may occur multiple times, then each given search term to any point in the author's name must appear. Example:
title: Addiction in the book title, can occur multiple times, then each given search term to any point in the book title must occur. Example:
isbn: Searches for the respective EAN (13 digits) or ISBN (10 digits) number. Pay attention to the correct spelling of the number and the number. ISBN numbers can have an "X" in last place. It only correctly entered ISBN-be taken into account or EAN numbers. It is not necessary to specify spaces or hyphens. Usually it is a number (EAN or ISBN) sufficient to specify, the EAN begins with the number "978", so is also for the corresponding ISBN number (EAN and ISBN numbers are interchangeable, if the EAN begins with "978",). noean:yes: Searches only for books without ISBN or EAN number. May occur only once and has no search term.
onlyean:yes: Searches only for books with ISBN or EAN number. May occur only once and has no search term.
cover:paperback: Searches only for bound books or paperbacks. May occur only once and has no search term.
condition:used: Searches only for new or used books. May occur only once and has no search term.
source:dealer: Searches only for books from booksellers (or antique) or by private individuals. May occur only once and has no search term.
publisher: Searches in the Editor (or Publisher) of the book. Displays only books have cited the relevant search term anywhere as editor or Publisher. Can occur multiple times, you must match all the search terms. Example:
-publisher: Searches in the Editor (or Publisher) of the book. Displays only books as editor or publishing the appropriate search term not have stated. Example:
-country: Searches only for books from a particular country or which do not come from a specific country. The 3-digit ISO code of the country can be used as a search term, or the name of the country. Multiple entries are possible, then must the book from one of the specified countries come or may not come from a specified countries. Attention: The country from which the book originated has not necessarily to do with the language, in which the book was written. The country usually is the seat of the bookseller, who shipped the book. It is therefore determinant for the shipping costs. Example:
-currency: Searches only for books with or without certain currencies. The name of the currency (usually 3 characters) be used as a search term. Multiple entries are possible, then the book in one must be offered specified currency. Example:
shipping: Country of delivery. Specification such as
country(ISO code). To determine the country in which the shipping costs are calculated. May occur only once. Example:
-language: Addiction to books the language specified in the or are not in the specified language. Currently only "german", "english", "french", or "unknown" can be specified as a language. Caution: Determining the language in which a book is written, is not reliable. Incorrect information can be here. In case of doubt, please contact the dealer directly before buying. Multiple entries possible. Example:
maxprice: Searches in only for books with a certain minimum or maximum price without shipping costs. Only indication of digits (as a comma delimiter the point or the comma used) allows. Indicated in €. Each Verb may occur only once. Example:
includingshipping:yes: Is specified, so the price information refers to
maxpriceon the price including shipping costs.
year: Searches for books that have appeared each specified minimum or maximum or exact in the year (four digit year). Each Verb may occur only once in the search term. Example:
edition: Searches for a specific Edition, specifying only of digits (not Roman numerals). May occur only once. Example:
vol: Searches for the band. Is only the minimum or maximum is specified, this is equivalent to specifying the same number in other criteria. Only
vollooking for this band. Each Verb may occur only once in the search term. Example:
exactvol:yesThis is angegegen, only results are displayed, the exactly the at

excactvol:yesdo not specify, so also displays results that contain all specified volumes, but contain also additional volumes.
picture:yes: Searches only for books that have a thumbnail. May occur only once and has no search term.
-extra: Desired or under wish properties of the book. As search terms are currently "pod" (for reprints, print on demand) "firstedition" (for the first edition), "signed" (for signed books), "dustjacket" (for cover), "ebook" (for the E-books and electronic books), supports "audiobook" (for audio books), "download" (for electronic download), "subscription" (for magazines) and "auction" (for auctions). May occur multiple times. Example:
-platform: Query or not to query book platforms. It can be determined which book platforms (z.B: E-Bay, Amazon, AbeBooks, etc.) to be queried and should be queried. May occur multiple times. Possible platforms are: % platforms% %.
keyword: Searches for the specified search term. The search term must appear anywhere in the book (author, title, description, Publisher, etc.). Can occur multiple times, then each specified term in the book at any point must be indicated. This is also the default behavior if no Verb is specified. Example:
-author: Only returns results that the specified search term not have included in the author's name. Can occur multiple times, then none of the specified terms may exist. Example:
-title: Only returns results that the specified search term not have included in the book title. Can occur multiple times, then none of the specified terms may exist. Example:
-: Only returns results that the specified search term not have included. Can occur multiple times, then none of the specified terms may exist. Example:
dealer: Only returns results from this merchant (name or name parts). Example:
-dealer: Only returns results that the specified search not included as a dealer. Example:
sort: Sort, determines that the result list is sorted. Possible terms are "price" (by price), "priceship" (after price plus shipping costs), "author" (after the author's name), "title" (after the title of the book), "first" (after arrival, fastest books first) and "result" (books with the most results first). The search term is a minus "-" prefixed, the grading is reversed (descending). May occur only once. Example:
listtype: The list type determines how the result list. Possible items (books) are "book", "result" (results, same books are summarized results) and "result_smart" (like "result", except that if there's only one result that the book itself is immediately visible). May occur only once. Example:
pagesize: Page size determines how many items you want to have the results page. Allows only digits. May occur only once. Example:
page: Page, determines which page to appear immediately (usually the first). Only digits allowed, can only occur once. Example:
